Today on one of the morning news shows they had a story about food allergies being overdiagnosed in children. Of course, it caught my attention. The point they were making was that the immediate-type reactions (IgE) are being overdiagnosed by doctors with skin tests and blood tests. These IgE reactions are the ones that give you hives and make your throat swell. They can be deadly. When you have an IgE reaction you have to avoid that food at all cost. (more…)

Here at Ideal Health we like to keep you “in the know” about what’s going on out there that can affect your health. We forecast the massive scam that has resulted in millions of Americans being prescribed statin drugs that do them no good, and often do them harm. Today, the issue is “drugs in our water” – and kudos goes to Ideal Health’s Director of Research and Development, Denise Autry, who sounded the alarm six years ago in our monthly newsletter that our water supplies would become progressively more contaminated with pharmaceuticals. Boy, was she right on!! Take a look at this new Associated Press Probe on the subject and read for yourself. You can find it HERE. Yet another compelling reason for not only being careful about your water supply, but for making sure your detox pathways are working well!!

The Reader’s Digest Hoax!! A Magazine to Avoid . . .

You all saw it, I’m sure: a big, bold headline on the cover of Reader’s Digest, screaming to the world “The Vitamin Hoax”, as well as a listing inside of “Ten Not to Take”. Included amongst them, such beneficial and well-researched nutrients as vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene, folic acid, lycopene, niacin and others. (more…)

I Guess 70% Isn’t Enough For Big Pharma . . .

You may remember a recent study showed that 70% of patients who went to their doctors and asked for a drug they’d seen advertised got it prescribed on the spot!! But how can greedy Big Pharma mop up the other 30%? That would mean getting around those annoying doctors that won’t prescribe their latest billion-dollar blockbuster. So how can Big Pharma take them right out of the picture? Simple: get their FDA puppets to do it. Hence the FDA’s proposed “BTC” drug plan. Read it here. It’s a simple plan that’s utterly shocking in its implications. (more…)

Click HERE to read a fascinating article about a nutrition study recently completed in Britain. Its main finding? That mothers eating junk food during pregnancy tend to have offspring pre-programmed with cravings for that same junk food. The mechanism by which this happens isn’t known (yet), but it will no doubt be the subject of further research.
Dr. Mac’s Comment: I’ll bet the junk food purveyors are rubbing their hands with glee over this one!! While the mothers and babies in the study happen to be rats, not humans, I’ll bet humans will show an identical pattern when those studies are eventually done. Hey, it’s no surprise really – when was the last time you were in the supermarket and noticed shared physical characteristics of mothers and their kids? Every time, right? And then, have you looked into their grocery carts? Yep, you can learn a lot just by being observant. (more…)

Another flawed vitamin study creates needless confusion
Posted by Dr. Mac under Media CommentaryLeave a Comment
You saw the headlines: “Vitamins don’t work!” ”New studies show vitamins do nothing to prevent heart disease and cancer.” It makes me angry to see the “Chicken Little” headline writers again sowing seeds of fear and confusion. So this posting is really about two things: researchers who publish unhelpful findings using faulty methods, and journalists that take the easy road and follow the party line without making even a half-hearted attempt to uncover the truth.
